Kennedy Town Swimming Pool

If you’re in the mood for a quiet swim and a beautiful view, this indoor swimming pool is the place to be. Its heating systems make it perfect for those chilly days, while its outdoor pool gives you an amazing view of Victoria Harbour. And the best part is that it’s only a short walk from the MTR!

Ma On Shan Swimming Pool

Ma On Shan is one of Hong Kong’s largest and most used swimming pool complexes. With seven pools in total, this massive complex is sure to please anyone who’s looking for a little aquatic fun. The main pool is large and has spectator stands that hold up to 1,200 people, while the other side of the pool houses teaching, diving and toddler pools. The kids will love the four water slides, two of which are said to be the fastest in Hong Kong.

While many pools have been affected by the staff shortage that erupted in July, the Kowloon Park pool has continued to be operational. However, it is important to note that the number of people using the pool has increased significantly since the staff strike began. Some facilities, such as the children’s and leisure pools, have been temporarily closed to divert resources to more vital areas.

The newest addition to Hong Kong’s pool scene is the Kerry Hotel rooftop pool. This spectacular pool overlooks the city skyline and is surrounded by lush tropical plants. The open, freeing space is the perfect place to float away your worries while enjoying the stunning scenery surrounding you. And after a refreshing swim, you can relax on the deck chairs and enjoy a cocktail or some high-speed internet.

Public swimming pools in Hong Kong are managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). There are 44 public pools in Hong Kong; 9 on Hong Kong Island, 13 in Kowloon, and 22 in the New Territories. The entrance fee for adults is HK$17 on weekdays and HK$19 on weekends.
