Types of Hong Kong Pools

If you love spending time in the water, a pool is the perfect place to cool off in the summer. There are many different types of pools, from small inground and above-ground pools to large commercial facilities. Some of these feature fountains, slides and other water features that help make the experience even more fun. Others are designed to help swimmers stay healthy and fit. Some even include a training area where swimmers can practice specific skills.

If your kids are looking for more of a splash than a lap swimming pool, you can find a variety of public pools across Hong Kong with water slides and other fun activities for children to enjoy. These pools are often more affordable than a private pool, and they are an excellent way to get the kids out of the house for the day.

Public swimming pools are managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and are free to use. There are 44 public pools in Hong Kong, with nine on Hong Kong Island, 13 in Kowloon and 22 in the New Territories. Some of these are indoor, while others are outdoor pools that are open when the weather permits.

The UNO Health & Kinesiology building is the on-campus practice and competition venue for the UNO swim & dive programs. Its indoor natatorium houses a six-lane 50-meter pool with three diving boards and can seat 800 spectators in the upstairs seating area. It also has spacious locker rooms, on-deck bleacher seating for competing teams and office space for swim & dive coaching staff.

This is a great pool for beginners, as it is easy to set up and maintain. It is highly durable and weatherproof, with a two-year warranty on the frame and liner. It also has a sand filter pump and is chemically balanced, making it very simple to operate. It also fills up much faster than larger pools (roughly 6 hours compared to the 15 or more needed for most other pools).

The biggest advantage of this pool is its affordability. It costs about half as much as a traditional inground pool, and it is relatively easy to install. The only downside is that it takes longer to clean, as the filter needs to be emptied and rinsed regularly. Also, the water must be refilled regularly because it evaporates quickly in hot temperatures. However, this is a minor drawback and it is worth the price for anyone who wants to spend less money on a pool.
