Hong Kong Pools Are Closed Due to COVID

Hong Kong is known for its many beautiful and exotic pools. The city’s public pools are one of the best ways to cool off during a hot summer day, with many offering amazing views and great facilities. However, due to the COVID outbreak in Hong Kong, a number of public swimming pools are temporarily closed for filtration and sterilisation.

To find out which HK pools are open and which ones are closed, check out this list of HK’s 45 public pools (click here to download a PDF). Each pool is different, so be sure to double-check the opening times of each venue before visiting. The LCSD also advises visitors to avoid going on the cleaning days of each pool.

Among the best HK hotels with an outdoor pool are Island Shangri-La and Hyatt Regency. Both offer lush tropical surroundings and stunning views of the Kowloon skyline, making them the perfect spot to unwind. Guests can indulge in a full spa service after a dip or enjoy a meal at one of the hotel’s fine dining restaurants.

The W Hong Kong is a popular choice with travellers for its outdoor pool, which offers panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and the iconic skyline. It’s equipped with underwater speakers so you can play your favorite music as you swim. And, of course, the hotel’s spa services are first-rate, so you can treat yourself to a relaxing massage after a dip.

Another top choice for a luxuriant pool staycation is the Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong. This luxury resort is home to multiple pools, including a heated infinity pool, lap pool and whirlpool, as well as a 20-meter plunge pool. Besides the pool, you’ll find a fitness centre and changing rooms to make your visit even more enjoyable.

In addition to being a fab way to relax, the Four Seasons is also a popular destination for daycation packages. These come with complimentary access to the hotel’s deluxe pool, as well as other benefits like wellness consultations and treatments.

Other options for a luxuriant HK pool staycation include the Langham Hotel, which boasts a pool with a stunning view of Victoria Harbour. This five-star property also has an exclusive pool area that’s open only to members and hotel guests. The ambiance here is truly elegant, with all the space you need to lounge on loungers while sipping on cocktails.

Finally, there’s Le Meridien, which has a beautiful outdoor pool and a whirlpool to relax your muscles after a dip. The pool is surrounded by grass, which makes it the perfect location for relaxing and watching the sun set. You can also enjoy a staycation package that includes access to the resort’s gym, and its Au Soleil Summer Soiree Chill Out Pool Party series.

As Hong Kong’s public pools continue to be reopened, we hope that all visitors can get the most out of their stay here. But, if you do have any questions or need assistance during your visit, feel free to contact our team. We’re always here to help!
