When the sweltering Hong Kong heat sets in, a cool swim is hard to beat. Luckily, the city has plenty of amazing swimming pools to help you refresh and soak up those incredible views. Here are our favourites.
Located on the 76th floor of W Hong Kong, this rooftop pool is one of the highest outdoor swimming pools in the world. Not only is it a stunning place to float and enjoy those breathtaking views, but it’s also a great spot to chill with your friends and grab a drink or two. There are deckchairs for sunbathing, cocktails on tap, a selection of snacks, high-speed internet and of course the best view in town to top it all off.
This destination public pool is the ideal place for the whole family. With a main pool, teaching and leisure pools as well as a toddler pool full of fun water installations including mushroom and tree-shaped fountains, there is something for everyone here. And if that isn’t enough, you can also find four waterslides including one said to be the fastest in hk!
With its swanky location in the heart of Victoria Harbour, this rooftop pool is definitely a crowd pleaser. The dazzling blue tiles glimmer in the sunlight and the perfect view of the skyline makes this pool truly picture-perfect. While the pool may be reserved for hotel guests only, non-guests can purchase a day pass to use it and enjoy the incredible view.
The only thing that could make this pool better is a cocktail in hand! The swanky and stylish design of this pool is just as impressive as the view. The large infinity pool stretches out over Victoria Harbour and the rooftop bar is a perfect spot to sip on your favourite drink while relaxing and taking in those incredible sights.
With a stunning location overlooking the sea and the South China Sea, this is a beautiful pool with spectacular views. The large main pool is the perfect size to swim a few laps and there are also smaller pools for children, as well as a Jacuzzi for those who want to relax and unwind. And if that isn’t reason enough to visit, the on-site bar is sure to satisfy your thirst for some tropical drinks and snacks!
With 44 public pools in total, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is in charge of managing all these wonderful spaces. These include 9 in Hong Kong Island, 13 in Kowloon and 22 in the New Territories. Entry fees are HK$17 per adult on weekdays and HK$19 on weekends. People with disabilities, those above the age of 60, kids aged 3 – 13, and full-time students can get in for a reduced fee. For more information, click here.
